Finally an entry but sadly no pics

Yeah I know it's been a whole week but I haven't actually touched the Gundam until yesterday and continue on today.  I was able to finish the torso and legs so it can now stand like a humanoid which looks pretty cool.  I can't seem to upload my pictures from my laptop beause apparently blogspot hates macs, who knew?  I also did the shield because I thought it would look nice with some weapons but I didn't feel like making the rifle so I just stuck the beam sabers on it.  I think it looks quite lovely even though I noticed the legs are not as maneuverable as say the MG Strike Gundam.  Still it is quite a fine model and I can't wait to finish the wings and other weapons.  Sorry again for the lack of pictures but I'll be sure to get it up when I can.

Finals over, Production ramped up!

I'm so glad that my finals are over. I am able to work on my gundam. I finished the arm today and the boomerang things on its shoulder. I decided to make the stand so that it wouldn't have to be sitting on the table and potentially scratched all the time.

I think it looks a lot cooler now although I might've drawn too many lines on the boomerang. Oh wells... Here's the stand and my wallpaper of my computer!

Man this is taking me forever

Took me three hours to finish but I made the right arm. It's the sanding that takes most of my time. I use 320 then 400 and finally 600 grit. I like the chrome hands though some of the places where it was connected to the spruce aren't chrome-ish since I had to rip it out. I hope to find more time over the break. Finals week is a very busy time...

Heads up!

Had some time today so I started on the head. It took forever to paint the eyes and sensor green. I also took my time to ink the panel lines but I'm happy with it. It looks pretty cool, I have to admit. I think I'll stop for a while because it's just taking too much of my time. I need to start focusing on homework and finals so don't expect too many more posts for a while.

I like the antennae even if its very long. It looks nice though I have to admit.

The panel lines were really hard to do! I kept smudging it and making the lines too thick so I had to redo it quite a few times!

I suck at FPS

So I tried playing Gears of War on medium difficulty and, boy do I suck!  I'm going to have to practice it a lot, that means lots of dying but I don't mind because it really is a fun game.  Oh but in my defense, I am much better on PC because of the mouse; it really is just more precise.

My haircut is quite short.  I dislike it very much not only because I find it unattractive, but because most of the insulation for my head is now nonexistent, leaving me very cold.

I can't wait to get back to my dorm so I can work on the Destiny again.  I have some paint I found today at home and in the store that I think will look quite good on the destiny.  No need for ugly stickers!  These paints will be normal brush paint though.  I am interested in airbrushing but I have no experience.  I've done some research and know that I want to use an air compressor instead of canned air so that will cost me quite a bit.  If you have any tips on that, like any good air compressors, techniques, or just comments, I'd love to hear it.
